Together with touchscreen software developers Nuiteq, we created a concept of how to use large 80" touchscreens for enhancing the shopping experience inside a large Beirut mall.

The screens provide the shoppers with information such as maps over the area, a store finder, more detailed info about the stores, current deals, etc.

Designing for huge touchscreens is very different from small surfaces like mobile phones and tablets. We had to consider different kind of behaviours, from distance reading to close-up touch interaction, combined with what happens when several people used it in more social situations.

Next challenge was prototyping – since we couldn't get hold of an 80" touchscreen we had to be creative and use video projection in order to test the environment. Sketchy, but usable ;)
